Job Description

The Systems Analyst will be part of an agile development team. You will Implement computer system requirements by defining and analyzing system problems; designing and testing standards and solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the business team comprising of business analysts, business owners, QA team as well as IT team members like Applications Architects, Developers, Product and Project managers and other team members.
  • Defines application problem by conferring and coordinating with Computer Programmers; evaluating procedures and processes and develops solution by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions.
  • Analyze and Design Content Managements systems like Drupal, WordPress for building robust and reliable applications.
  • Write functional requirement documents and specifications.
  • Works on moderate to complex projects and implement SDLC processes, inputs/outputs, standard and best practices. Monitor all business requirements and validate all designs, schedule all ETL processes, Develop Reports and prepare documents for all data flow diagrams.
  • Provide technical leadership to teammates through mentorship.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies.
  • Co-Ordinate with Product Owner in Grooming User Stories with other developers and maintain Backlog with proper scenarios to meet definition of ready.
  • Provide sizing of the user stories to product owner which were estimated by team and make sure user stories meet definition of ready for developers to work on them.
  • Participate in Daily stand up (Daily Scrum) meetings to provide daily status updates and to resolve impediments for team. And also has to participate in Bi-Weekly Sprint Planning, Retrospective with developers and Review by stakeholders.

Experience and Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Knowledge on designing OOP, enterprise grade software, in PHP.
  • Familiarity with technologies includes Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, MVC Frameworks like Laravel, Zend, Code Igniter, Javascript, jQuery, Angular JS, React JS, HTML, CSS and Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with RESTFUL APIs, JSON data, REST routes and the different HTTP methods with status codes.
  • Good Understanding about Data migrations, plan and backup and Restore of the Databases using MySQL and SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies & Scrum.
  • Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes.
  • Experience with automated testing at multiple layers.
  • Experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimization.
  • Experience with source control management systems.
  • Experience with continuous integration/deployment.
